Did this scare the hell out of you?
I was exhausted. I had just gotten home from another day of forced monotony that we call a job. I wanted nothing more than to kick back with a cold beer and watch the hockey game. I walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer before shambling to the entertainment room. Still warm. Damn. I sat down in my comfiest recliner. The footrest sprung up, and I pushed the back down far enough so I could just see the TV. I grabbed the remote and hit the power button. The TV flickered on, filling the room with the sound of hockey. It wasn’t the same without the cold beer.
I reluctantly sat back up and got out of my chair, and made my way to the stairs leading up to the attic.
I pushed the door open and stepped into the dark, musty room, thick with the stench of mold. I grabbed the flashlight that I kept by the attic door and clicked it on. I made my way around all the boxes, coming to the back of the attic. There I found the fuse box. I set the flashlight down and began to tinker with the fuses. A bit of light caught the corner of my right eye. I thought nothing of it, being too predisposed with my task. I finished fixing the fuse and turned to my right to grab the flashlight. But it wasn’t there. I put the flashlight down with my left hand. That’s when it hit me. Where did that light I saw come from? I recollected the flashlight and walked to the right of where I was. It didn’t take me long. I came to the side of my attic, where a crack in the wall was shining a brilliant white. I thought that maybe this was the end of my house, and the crack led to outside. But that was impossible. There was way more house below this light, and it couldn’t lead outside. It was night time.
I should have walked away, forgotten about it. Hell, if it was the middle of the day I probably would have. But my curiosity got the better of me. I used the butt-end of the flashlight to hammer through the wood where the light was emanating from. The larger I made the hole, the brighter my attic got. Soon, the hole was large enough for me to crawl through. I steeled myself before sticking my head through the hole. I came out in a room much like my rec room at home, but lit up by beautiful sunlight. I stood up and looked around. First thing I noticed was it was perfectly clean. Not a thing out of place, no dust anywhere. The second thing I noticed was the window. I walked over and looked out. What I saw was amazing. It was a small little village. Small houses placed close together. I figured I was crazy. I went back through the hole and shoved a box in the way to block the light coming through. I went back downstairs to my entertainment room and turned on the hockey game.
I forgot about the hole for weeks. My life was pretty normal. I followed the usual routine of work and friends, and when the hole did cross my mind, I passed it off as a dream. But the thoughts became more and more frequent. I became less and less sure of the idea that the hole was a dream. I had to go back.
I decided that tonight was the night I go through the hole again. I’ve been preparing myself for days. I know I can’t do this, but I know I have to. I work my way slowly to the attic and slide the box out of the way. Yes, the hole is still there. I was hoping it wasn’t. But I knew I had to go on. I dropped to my hands and knees and crawled forward through the hole. I found myself once more in that same room again. I walked to the window to see nothing had changed. Everything was still the same. I wanted to go outside, to explore, but there was no door. I slid the window open and dropped down onto the perfectly manicured grass. I decided to go left. I just walked. I wanted to know what this place was.
I actually passed a few people on the streets as I went. They smiled and waved. Perfectly friendly. I passed a library, a hospital… all perfect. Clean, fully functional… It was amazing.
That was a month ago. I’ve been living here ever since. But recently… I’ve been feeling different. Seeing things I know aren’t there. Horrible images. Images you should not see. Images I cannot even begin to describe. I’ve also been struck with an insatiable thirst for bloodshed. For flesh. For death at my own hands. I crave the feeling of entrails wrapping around my hands.
I went to the library and looked at a book of the towns history. What I saw… Oh god. Every forty years, the town entices one member of our world to theirs. This person is charged with the task of venturing into their world, and receiving all the accumulated evil from the last forty years. Their world is allowed to exist in perfect harmony at the expense of one of ours.
But… I can’t cope with this anymore. These images. This thirst. This… primal hunger for death. I don’t want to do this. I think I’m ready to come home…

horror games with flashlight?
hello, are there any horror games that you have a flashlight and go in houses or rooms and freaky stuff happen. do NOT give me titles of basic horror games like dead space,etc. GAMES WITH A FLASHLIGHT. i remember seeing a game like that on tv but dont remember title D:

my dad recently bought a 40" inch samsung LED flat screen and i’m wondering how big it is.because i can only see it on cam everytime when we’re chatting,(my dad is in other country.)He said that the resolution is so great and perfect for watching movies.

Why do spiders come into the house and how do they get in? Had ten in three weeks, normally get 2 in 12 months?
For the past three weeks we’ve has ten large spiders in the house, five of which have been in my bedroom. I’m petrified of them which sounds silly to some people but I can’t help the way I feel.
I literally turned off my bedroom light 30 minutes ago after having a quick look round the room for spiders, didn’t see any so led down. I had my tv on and was led down for 5 minutes when I turned over and noticed a large spider moving quickly across the room. Had no idea where it had come from.
Had another in the house lunch time today and another running round on the floor downstairs last night.
I’m at the point where I can’t cope with how many are coming in especially with the amount that have been in my room as that leaves me feeling on edge wondering when the next one will turn up.
So my questions are;
(1) why do these keep coming in the house?
(2) is there something that attracts them to a particular house?
(3) if we normally get one or two maximum in a 12 month period is it strange to get so many large ones in such a very small period of time?
(4) is there something we can do to discourage them from coming in the house?
(5) is it normally for so many large spiders to show up in such a small space of time?
I know there isn’t a way of getting rid of them altogether and I don’t want that but I want to not have this amount come into my house especially my bedroom when we normally see so few compared to this amount.
Could this be due to the current weather in the uk? Or could there be something drawing them to this house?
I don’t have much knowledge of spiders as even reading/talking about them puts the hair on the back of my neck on edge.
Just want some spider-less days/nights. I didn’t expect another one in the house same day as we got rid of another (they get put outside by my dad).
I dont know what else to do but feel on edge after having such a large spider in my room and am contemplating sleeping downstairs.
Advice please xx
i have a 55inch led tv and it wont work?
i ordered a 55 inch led toshiba tv and i set it up today and i can hear it and faintly see it if i am sitting close to the tv, i changed the brightness and tint and sharpness the blacklight is on and at 100 what else can i do??

Jesus IS watching…?
An old man lives in a bad neighborhood. His wife died and his kids left, and he’s retired. One day, he decides to go to the mountains for a week. He packs his bags and leaves the next morning. While he was gone, a burglar broke into his house. The burglar came in at night with a flashlight, some tools, and a sack to put the loot into.
While he’s shuffling around, flashlight in hand, he hears a quick rustling noise coming from the corner of the room. He quickly turns to see what it is, and sees a parrot sitting in his cage, staring at him right in the face. He ignores it and continues looting. The parrot says:
"Jesus is watching…"
The burglar, somewhat disturbed, stops for a second, and continues looting.
"Jesus is watching…"
He tries as hard as he can to ignore the parrot, and continues looting.
"Jesus is watching…" the parrot says sternly.
Now, being unable to ignore the parrot any longer, the burglar turns and says:
"Whatever. You’re just a parrot. You can’t talk. You’re just repeating something somebody said."
"Bullsh!t, I can talk."
"Oh yeah? What’s your name?"
"Henry."
"Henry? That’s stupid. What kind of moron names a parrot Henry?"

why won't bf turn tv off?
My boyfriend who lives with me will not turn the tv off at night when we go to bed. I’ve never slept with it on and he pretended he didn’t until we moved in together. Now I can’t sleep and I’ve told him several times it bothers me. He’ll turn it down a little, but I can still hear it and see the light from it. He gets upset if I turn it off after he falls asleep because he’ll wake up later. What do I do!!
Is it possible to connect my TV to my Laptop wirelessly?
I’d like to connect me Toshiba Laptop to my 3D LED T.V. (Model # UN55C700). I want to be able to make my computer screen show up on my TV. I know there’s hardware out there for things like this, but from reviews I’ve seen they do not work. What I need is a way to do it through the internet capabilities that this TV has.

Faster than light?
I recently watched a tv programme about how a very large telescope had been built and we will soon be able to see the light from the beginning of the universe. I am assuming that this refers to the ‘big bang’.
What I cannot understand is if we are here and the light from the big bang is still on its way here, then how did we beat it here? Our planet has taken a fair old while to form and develop into what it is today, so how are we floating about in space countless light years from where it all began and the light still has yet to reach us?
